124th Year of Flora — 29th Day of Azure Skies

Lately those monsters have been increasing in number. I can no longer clear up the miasma quick enough. The whole land has been surrounded by these monsters.  One incredibly powerful monster came here, and with his power he could probably defeat it, but he is loathe to do so.  He said, what do humans have to do with him? ...But, humans do have something to do with me. Perhaps not all of them, but at least the humans living in this land. It was their prayers that gave birth to me.  And so I went. I was defeated.  But in the end, I heard his angry voice.

124th Year of Flora — 30th Day of Plum Rains

When I came to, he was all worn out. I sat up. *Sigh*... I'd actually turned back into human form.  Looking at him lying face-down on the table fast asleep, I thought, it must have been through his efforts.  After all, this fellow would even care for a little bird he passed on the road. It wouldn't make sense for him not to save a friend like me. But... I indeed must do something that may hurt his feelings...

124th Year of Flora — 4th Day of Bud's End

I know that my miasma infection is too far gone. Moreover, that monster already killed all the villagers.  So I used my power to grant them all new life and turn them into my subordinates.  They lived... but only on the condition that I stay alive too...

124th Year of Flora — 14th Day of Cold Dusks

I don't have long to live. Moreover, The flower petals bring tidings on the wind. Even Eve has been captured by those fellows... If even the great and powerful Eve cannot stand up to them, then how can I protect these people... And he is the strongest person I've ever seen.  Not strong in terms of power.  So, my friend, I'm sorry. I want to hand everything over to you.  But as much as you hate the humans, how will you ever be willing to replace me in saving these humans that have died already...

124th Year of Flora — 20th Day of Frost

I have everything all planned out. I put everyone in a slumber, and if they awaken again, all they will remember is that after the Flora Trees appeared, an emissary arrived.  Then I told him the only way to delay the worsening of his physical condition is to devour my core.  He said angrily that there will be another way.  Therefore, I attacked him, with all I could muster.  The power of a god can be quite imposing. He had no choice but to hit back with all his strength. He even summoned his companions.

That inarticulate friend of his truly packs a punch.  In the end, I used the core to bind an oath, making it so the creature possessing the core must protect all the villagers. If this oath is violated, then the core will backfire, turning its owner into an immobilized Flora Tree.  But actually, I was lying to him. My flowers told me that the Heretics truly were too powerful. I just want him to try his best, and then who knows, maybe he can save everyone. I don't want him to come to harm from it though.  This was all caused by me, and he shouldn't be the one to carry the burden. I know he won't be angry. Just like I know he really does care for that friend of his, and he also really cares for me.  Goodbye ...My Friend...
