Lost Rose[]

In the siren witch’s garden there was a special rose possessing a magic power that could grant three wishes.
But after each wish granted, the rose would be weakened for a long time.

The garden also contained all kinds of other flowers, and the witch would regularly water and prune them, and get rid of pests.
But aside from the witch, none of the other flowers could talk with her.
Gradually, the rose started to feel bored.
She looked at the clear skies beyond the fence and imagined about the world beyond the garden with great curiosity.

One day, the rose heard the witch say she was going out of the garden for awhile.
And so, after the witch left, the rose turned into an adorable maiden, cast off the fetters around her branches, and escaped from the garden.

The rose crossed a forest and saw lush trees, a clear stream, and flower fairies fluttering in the air.
The rose walked on excitedly, accidentally getting herself lost in the forest, and her feeble body was progressively unable to maintain its magic transformation.
She changed back into a rose and fell beside a withered tree leaf.

Suddenly, a pair of warm hands gently picked her up.
“A truly beautiful and lovely rose,” said the owner of these two hands.

The rose was taken by this person to a castle. Inside the castle, there was also a fox, and she heard the fox call her bearer “little prince”.
The little prince took care of her just like the witch. To restore her strength, he also encased her in a crystal vial.
The little prince came every day to chat with the rose.

He said that he had a friend that had been turned into a beast by a curse, but everyone knew that he would never hurt anybody.
He said that he wanted to help his friend break the curse.
He said that was why he often went out on journeys, to ask the forest gnomes and mountain serpents and even the old raspberry crone for a cure, but everyone always just shook their heads and said they didn’t know.

But he still patted his chest and said that something would turn up sooner or later, and that there were lots of places he still hadn’t been to.
The rose was moved by the little prince, and she fluttered her petals to comfort him.
The rose told him that she could help the little prince fulfill a wish, because she still had two wishes left to grant.

The little prince liked traveling, and whenever he wasn’t at the castle, the fox would take care of her.
The rose liked listening to the little prince share his tales and adventures of his travels, and the fox would sit quietly off to the side.
Compared to her garden, the rose liked the little prince’s castle more.

In this way, some days passed, and the little prince went out on another journey.
Like before, the rose was placed inside the castle by the little prince.
But this day, a singing nightingale flew in, and he quietly made away with the rose in his beak, and even the shrewd fox didn’t realize it.

The rose went with the nightingale to the castle of the mer-prince.
“I’ll give this beautiful rose to the mer-prince. He’ll be sure to like it,” said the nightingale.

The nightingale used his own blood to get a chance to make a wish.
Meanwhile, the mer-prince, who was unaware of these developments, was thinking to himself how nice it would be to be able to turn into a human, go on the land, and see the world.

And so like that, the mer-prince turned into a human.
Having expended too much power, the rose once again became weak.

The little prince and the fox found the rose and took her back to the castle once again.
Although the rose only had one final wish left to give, she was willing to sacrifice herself to help the little prince’s friend cast off his beast curse.
Because, she truly liked them, even more than she liked herself.

Hearing the rose’s words, the fox suddenly understood that all along the little prince wanted to help him.

“But if that final wish is made, then I’ll disappear,” the rose thought.

However, the fox and the little prince never made that final wish.

Because, just like the rose felt about them, they felt she was their friend too, and friends would never take advantage of or harm one another.
The rose was extremely moved, and she shook her petals around happily, suffusing the entire castle with her fragrant scent.

Awaiting Fox[]

There once was a little prince who always had a red fox by his side. They were good friends.
The fox said he had to protect and guide the little prince.

They lived in an ancient castle, and the fox would sometimes turn into a ferocious beast.
That was just because of a curse upon the fox, so the little prince wasn’t afraid of him.
Because he never ate people.

One day, the fox saw that the little prince had secretly taken a magic crystal vial from his castle, then put a pretty, yet about-to-wither rose inside it.

The clever fox quickly realized that was a rose that would grant three wishes, but that after each wish the rose would grow weaker.
But the rose also told them that you needed blood from the heart of someone who truly cared for you in order to have a chance to make a wish.

The fox thought that if the little prince wanted to make a wish, he could give the prince his blood.
But he didn’t know what the little prince would wish for. Perhaps it was to grow a pair of wings, or for lots of pockets to carry around walnut cake in, or...
“But no matter what the wish, I will help him make it come true,” the fox said to himself.

The feeble rose slowly re-blossomed with a beautiful shine under the protection of the crystal vial and the care of the fox and the little prince.
She was kind, pure, and full of curiosity about the world.
They gradually became good friends.

The little prince had to go out on a journey, and he put the rose in a room deep within the castle.
But still, something unfortunate happened.
Several days later, the rose was missing, and some fresh dewdrops gathered by the fox were left on the window sill.
The fox could find no trace of the rose within the old castle. He was at a loss and felt like he hadn’t done his job.

Just then, the little prince returned, but he didn’t blame the fox.
To make up for his shortcoming, the fox said to the little prince, “I will get back the rose!”
The fox remembered that the crystal vial had its own seal upon it, and it could be used to find the rose.

The fox and the little prince searched and searched.
They went over a tall mountain, and through a forest.
Finally, they found the lost rose at the castle of the mer-prince.
By the feeble way the rose was lying in the crystal vial, they knew it had once again granted a wish to someone else.

They brought the rose back to the castle again.
The rose had a sweet smile on her face as always, because the two of them still had one final chance to make a wish, and she wanted to remove the curse of the beast from the little prince’s friend.
The fox suddenly understood, all along the little prince wanted to help him.
But they all knew that after making the last wish, the rose would disappear.

The fox and the little prince, with hardly any hesitation, both gave up on making the final wish and went on protecting the rose.

Ever since, the little prince has had yet another friend always by his side, and they lived happily in the beautiful castle.

Darkscythe Angel[]

In a magnificent castle, there lived twelve princesses.
The youngest of the princesses had skin like cream and eyes like sapphires. When she danced under the moonlight, she was like a pure white swan.
Everyone who saw her couldn’t help but exclaim at her beauty.
The princes of the neighboring kingdoms all expressed their admiration and came one after another to pay their respects to the king.

The king and the queen were overjoyed, and they decided to hold a grand ball for the princes.
However, the other eleven princesses didn’t think this way.
A poison called jealousy was brewing in their hearts.

On the day of the ball, the eleven princesses found the little princesses as she was strolling in the garden.
They spat venomous curses from their mouths, and the little princess’s snow white skin sprouted black feathers, and her arms turned into wings.
And like that, the little princess turned into a black swan.

The eleven princesses cried out, drawing the king, queen, and princess, and even the ministers and servants running to them.
Their eyes went wide, and none of them would recognize this was the little princess, despite the crown still on her head.
Even the king and queen expressed shock that their daughter turned out to be an ugly black swan all along.
To them, black-colored creatures were always ugly.

The little princess ran from the castle, crossing wilderness and swampland until she came to a forest.
The forest was suffused with a refreshing aroma, and the little princess lay down on a soft bed of grass and drifted off to sleep.

In her dream, she saw a golden castle, and a beautiful fairy came out to greet her.
The fairy told her that only at night would she turn back into human form, and that she had to go to a cemetery next to a cave to gather nettles, weave it into clothing, and put it on, and only then would the curse be lifted.
But this special nettle clothing could only be woven with a spindle, and the spindles had been ordered by another king to all be destroyed. The only one remaining spindle was in the possession of a werewolf.

The little princess opened her eyes. The sky was already growing dark.
She walked down a desolate path and arrives at the cemetery.
Witches were whispering to themselves besides a gravestone, and a figure lugging a box flashed by.
But she didn’t pay that any mind and set about gathering nettles, eager to make it into thread while it was still night.
The thorns on the nettles were sharp, and the little princess’s fingertips were covered in blisters from their pricks.

To evade the pursuit of hunters, she flew to a cave on the rugged mountainside.

This one day, the little princess smelled the scent of a werewolf.
In a hurry, she flew to the center of the forest and saw a prince unconscious on the ground.
His face was peaceful, as if he was having a beautiful dream.
The little princess looked all around, but the werewolf was no longer there.
“Perhaps I should save him. Maybe he knows something about the werewolf,” the little princess thought.

The little princess dragged the slumbering man back to her mountain cave, and her intuition told her that she could go find that person carrying the box in the cemetery.
And so, the little princess returned to the cemetery, and that person told the little princess that he was a magic mirror, and that he had a potion that could awaken the slumbering man, but that the little princess would have to give one of her cursed black feathers in trade.
The little princess agreed to the magic mirror’s condition and plucked a black feather from her wing, spurting blood onto the ground.

The handsome prince awoke from his slumber.
To thanks the little princess for saving his life, he found another forgotten spindle from the royal palace tower for the princess.
The dusty spindle started to spin and creakily wove together a forgotten curse.
The little princess finally put on the nettle-woven clothing, and the curse was broken.

Wonderland Mystery[]

Alice lived in a kingdom, and the King of Hearts was this kingdom’s king.
Kind-hearted Alice helped many people, and everyone said he was the nicest person in the whole world.

But recently the kingdom was in an uproar because of the King of Hearts.

In the past, the kingdom was fine, and he always did his best to protect everyone…
But starting one day…
The king became more and more violent. At the drop of a hat, he would start yelling to chop off people’s heads!
At the start, it was against people who wanted to harm his subjects.
But then… even his own subjects who made small mistakes weren’t safe.
People started to fear the King of Hearts, and no one remembered that he used to be a good king.

Alice heard that the king wanted to hold a ball and had ordered everyone to attend. If anybody didn’t go or showed up late, it was off with their head.

Alice knew that the King of Hearts used to be a good person, so something must’ve happened to make him change like this. Alice had to stop him.
Alice rushed along the road to the ball, feeling like he was forgetting something.

Just then, a cat grinning from ear to ear found Alice.
He said he was called the Cheshire Cat, and Alice thought he seemed very familiar, although they didn’t know each other.

The Cheshire Cat escorted Alice to the King of Hearts’s ball.
Card soldiers were wielding wolf-fang maces, and Alice saw the King of Hearts, who looked exactly like himself.
The King of Hearts yelled at him, and Alice felt angry at him too.

Everything got chaotic, and Alice suddenly remembered something.
He saw that this person looked exactly like himself, except the person had a crown on this head.
He was sitting on a broad chair, checking over public documents at his desk. Before him was a resplendent hall lined with card soldiers on either side.
Alice ran to the middle of the hall, but no one looked at him.
After a little while, Alice heard one of the card soldiers call him the King of Hearts.

When the red heart card turned over, it became a black diamond. The collapsing castle swirled around in syrup, then like falling starts it turned into red candy. Alice still stood in the hall as before.
The crown-wearing king was talking with the Cheshire Cat, but they started fighting.
The Cheshire Cat got angry and left.

Alice followed the Cheshire Cat out of the castle, and he saw the cat go to the witch’s garden.
Then, the Cheshire Cat asked the witch for a magic potion that would help restore the king to his former gentle self, even if the price was that he would be exiled from the kingdom.
The Cheshire Cat rushed off, not hearing the next part of what the witch said.
The magic potion would devour the memory of the user and the person it was used on.

The Cheshire Cat returned to the castle in the night, and he poured the potion into the mouth of the King of Hearts as he slept.

The red heart danced a jig, and the spade twirled with the diamond.
Seeing all this, Alice felt like there was a warm power in his body.

The Cheshire Cat led him away from the castle.

Alice awoke and realized he was still at the ball, and the card soldiers were still wielding the wolf-fang maces.
The King of Hearts was no longer shouting, but rather seemed to be thinking something over.
Alice had calmed down too, realizing who the person was in front of him after all.

Alice recovered his memory.
He wanted to apologize to the Cheshire Cat, and also confess his mistakes to everyone.
He just… wanted so much to protect everyone…
But even when everyone had lost hope, his friend the Cheshire Cat kept the faith throughout that the King of Hearts would always be a good king.

Finally, the card soldiers put away their wolf-fang maces, and the band struck up a happy tune, and the chefs brought in delicious treats, and gentlemen with peacock-feathered hats took the lace-gloved hands of the maidens.
Admist happy cheers from everyone, the curtain was finally raised on the grand ball.

Ethereal Song[]

In a kingdom, there was a beautiful garden that was always fragrant and in full bloom year-round.
In the garden, one could often hear a strange yet pleasant singing. Everyone said this was a siren witch’s magic garden.

In actuality the owner of this garden was indeed a siren from the deep sea, and in her hand she held a magic rose.
To find and wait for her prince, the siren made a wish upon the rose that she could live on the land and build a garden.

This one day, eleven princesses came to the witch’s garden.
They asked her for a curse that could transform a person into an ugly bird.
The witch accepted their request of the princesses, but upon one condition, that the princesses watch over her garden while she went out for a time.

And so, the witch left the garden, and when she returned, she found that the wish-granting rose was missing.
She flew into a rage. She found the eleven princesses and accused them of not upholding their end of the bargain.
The witch angrily recited a curse, and the eleven princesses screamed and ran away, but not before being turned into chirping sparrows.

A werewolf in a red cape came to the garden too.
The werewolf asked the witch for a spell that could put someone in a slumber, but in return, he had to bring the witch her long-awaited prince.
“He has pretty, golden hair and a handsome face, and he caries a long sword in his hand. The day I see him, I shall know he is the one for whom I have waited all this time,” said the witch.

The werewolf really did run into the prince the witch spoke of, and the prince did as the werewolf said and headed to the witch's garden.
But the prince had not come for the witch, but rather to save his slumbering friend.

“My beloved prince has only come to get an antidote, but what does that matter? The fact that he’s come is enough,” thought the witch. So she fulfilled her wish of kissing the prince.

In the end, the prince got away.
But the witch was still very happy, and she is still watching over this garden, awaiting her prince…

Peaceful Respite[]

In a castle, there was a handsome prince.

One day, news of a werewolf rampage spread in the royal city.
To protect his subjects, the prince decided to hunt the werewolf himself.
The old king was the greatest hinter in the kingdom, and he told the prince of a special rifle in the castle, But to kill a werewolf, it required a bullet made from the cursed feather of a black swan.

The prince took the hunting rifle into the forest.
Beside a lake, he saw a black swan wearing a crown on its head.
Truly a beautiful little fellow, thought the prince. I do not wish to harm it, just to get it to faint.
A bullet fried with a loud bang, and the black swan immediately spread its wings and flew off.
The prince pursued it, but the black swan flew father and farther away, disappearing over the distant mountains.

Days later, the prince encountered the werewolf, chasing after it into the corner of the forest.
Just then, the werewolf took out a spindle and pierced the prince with it.
The prince’s fingertip was scratched, and he instantly swooned unconscious.
But his breathing was steady, as if he was deep in slumber.
The werewolf’s plot had succeeded, and he revealed a brazen smile.

After some time, the prince blurrily blinked open his eyes.
He found that he was laying in a cave that was filled with nettle grass and thread made from the same, and that crowned black swan.
Just then, the setting sun dipped below the cave’s entrance, and the black swan’s feathers gradually retreated. A pure white dress slowly blossomed forth, as if covering the ground with diamonds. Soft, golden hair cascaded down just like an angel in the depths of an ancient castle.
The black swan had turned into a princess.

The princess told him that in the magic mirror she exchanged her feather for a potion that could awaken him, breaking his slumber curse.
The prince was extremely grateful to the princess for saving his life, but he still had to get a cursed feather.
And so, he told the princess that he could fulfill any request of hers as long as she was willing to give some black feathers.
The princess agreed, on the condition that the prince help her find a spindle.

The prince led the black swan to the sealed off attic at the top of the castle, where there was an abandoned old spindle.
With the help of the prince, the black swan wove the nettle grass thread into clothing and turned back into a princess.
Then the prince took the bullets made from cursed feathers and continued on his mission of hunting down the werewolf.
