Cooking Talents are skills you, the player, can use during battles (up to 2 per fight) to directly help your Food Souls, and control or inflict damage to Fallen Angels. Unlocking a talent costs cooking points, which you can earn in various ways. Using a talent costs energy, which recharges at the battle goes on.
Talents unlock at Player Level 7.
Damage Talents
Once you have unlocked the starter talent, you have 3 groups of damage talents to unlock: one to burn enemies, one to cut enemies, and one to poison enemies.
Each group is independent so you are free to go for whatever your prefer in any order you want. However, within each group, progress is mostly linear: you must max out an ability to move on to the next in line.
Once you have unlocked and maxed out everything you can unlock 2 extra talents.
Support Talents
Once you have unlocked the starter talent, you have 2 groups of damage talents to unlock: one to heal your team, one to make your team invincible.
Support talents are different from other talents because branches are somewhat interconnected:
- Unlocking Precise Seasoning lets you access Melt & Mold and Divine Seasoning.
- Unlocking Melt & Mold and Always Fresh lets you access Zero Degrees.
Once you have unlocked and maxed out everything you can unlock 2 extra talents.

Control Talents
Once you have unlocked the starter talent, you have 4 groups of control talents to unlock: one to boost your team, one to charm enemies, one to remove buffs from enemies, and one to stun enemies.
Each group is independent so you are free to go for whatever your prefer in any order you want. However, within each group, progress is mostly linear: you must max out an ability to move on to the next in line.
Required Cooking Points
Unlocking a talent and maxing it out cost an increasing amount of Cooking Points. Cost is independent for each type of talents (Damage, Support and Control) and relative to the number of times you have used your points within each type. The level you are currently at is indicated on each group tab.
You can reset a whole type to get your points back but a percentage will be lost unless you pay for the difference using Magic Crystals.
