He used to abstain from killing, but later caused the deaths of some people. After his own master passed, he made a decision to roam the land. In the end, Wensi Tofu had an epiphany: possessing this power was actually the will of the gods. As Buddha said: "If I don't enter hell, who will? If I do enter hell, then others no longer need to."
Food Introduction[]
Wensi tofu is a traditional Jiangsu province dish with a time-honored history. Originating in Yangzhou and also known as "mixed tofu soup", the dish was invented by a Yangzhou monk named Wensi during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor in the Qing dynasty. The dish has strict requirements on ingredient selection and requires exquisite knife work to produce its tender, clean, melt-in-your-mouth taste. It is also effective at nursing back to health the malnourished and deficient, making it an excellent dish for the elderly and children. Qing dynasty scholar Yu Yue wrote in "Tea Room Notes": "Wensi, also known as Xi Fu, is an able poet and also excels at making sweet tofu porridge. To this day, in honor of its inventor, the dish is called Wensi Tofu."
